The types of personal information we collect, and share depend on the product or service you have with us. This information can include:

  • Transaction & loss history and account balances
  • Social Security Number
  • Income, credit history and employment information

When you are no longer our member, we continue to share your information as described in this notice.

What we do

How does McBryde FCU protect my personal information?

To protect your personal information from unauthorized access and use, we use security measures that comply with federal law. These measures include computer safeguards and secured files and buildings.

 

How does McBryde FCU collect my personal information?

We collect your personal information, for example, when you

  • open an account or use your credit or debit card
  • show your government-issued ID or apply for financing
  • provide account information

We also collect your personal information from others, such as credit bureaus, affiliates, or other companies.

 

We retain personal information for a period as required by laws and regulations and the necessary business purposes.  We securely delete personal information as soon as legally permitted.

 

Why can’t I limit all sharing?

Federal law gives you the right to limit only

  • sharing for affiliates’ everyday business purposes – information about your creditworthiness
  • affiliates from using your information to market to you
  • sharing for nonaffiliates to market to you

State law and individual companies may give you additional rights to limit sharing.

 

 

Definitions

Affiliates

Companies related by common ownership or control. They can be financial and nonfinancial companies. McBryde Federal Credit Union has no affiliates.

 

Nonaffiliates

Companies not related by common ownership or control. They can be financial and nonfinancial companies. McBryde Federal Credit Union does not share with our nonaffiliates so they can market to you.

 

Joint Marketing

A formal agreement between nonaffiliated financial companies that together market financial products or services to you. Our joint marketing partners include insurance companies.
